And let's say he says he likes you and that he thinks you're smart and pretty and things of that ilk, but he won't actually ask you out. He says he has a girlfriend back home, even though he's been here for years and hasn't seen her since then and spends a lot of time flirting with you. And all the while, you hang out and you can ask him to do anything and he'll do it. For example you could say "JUMP!" and he'd say "HOW HIGH?"
